Japan Sports Agency Commissioned Project: Presentation at APC General Assembly and Conference on Workshop on Promoting Women’s Participation in Para Sports in Asia
During the Conference and General Assembly of the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, we introduced Sport for Tomorrow (SFT) activities for the National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) from more than 40 Asian countries.
SFT has been conducting exchange and cooperation programmes for people in various countries to promote the Olympic and Paralympic movements, and consequently, the cooperation activities of the SFTC (Sport for Tomorrow Consortium) members were also introduced at the conference. A participant from Bhutan, whose NPC was established very recently, reported on a case where persons with challenges started to adopt positive attitudes toward their lives through sports, referring to SFT’s contribution to this achievement.

Feedback from Organizer :
At the Conference, appreciation was expressed on a collaboration project with the SFT, i.e., a workshop on promoting women’s participation, that is set to start. The IOC and IPC should play the central role to pass on the know-how and network established by the SFT to the next host country.
