“Sports × Business × Food” Exchange Project among Chiba, the Netherlands, and Germany
In order to continue and accelerate sports and business exchanges with the Netherlands and Germany, both of which have deep economic and cultural relationships with Chiba Prefecture, JETRO Chiba invited influencers involved in cycling from both countries including Iris Slappendel, a former professional cyclist (2012 World Cup) to visit Japan and participate in conveying a message on the appeals of Chiba Prefecture including Minamiboso City and Tateyama City to more than 10,000 people via social media.
During their time in Japan, the guests participated in the Minamiboso Satoyama and Satoumi Cycling Competition, observed the Cycle Training B.B. Base, visited and stayed at the Hotel Familio Tateyama, which is adjacent to a cycling facility, participated in strawberry picking at Michinoeki Shirahama Nojimazaki, visited Jiroemu, a restaurant in an old, traditional house, and conducted PR for Chiba products and tourism sites.

Feedback from Participant :
The cycling route of the Minamiboso Satoyama and Satoumi Cycling Competition includes a beautiful, flat seaside course where there any many rape blossoms flowering and a mountain course with a lot of ups and downs. It was a challenging course with a lot of variety.
