【Zambia】Swimming Goods Collection Project at Central Sports Children’s Swimming Challenge
In response to a request from JICA members who teach swimming in the Republic of Zambia, the spread pf swimming culture was supported by providing swimming goods in Zambia. With the cooperation of numerous people, swimsuits, goggles, swim floats, and other goods that are lacking in Zambia were provided.
Various swimming goods were provided in response to a request from JICA members who provide swimming instruction at a teachers training school in the Republic of Zambia. Many of the goods were collected and provided through a request for cooperation made to participants in the Central Sports Children’s Swimming Challenge, which was held in March 2018. Swimming instruction has just begun in Zambia, and there is an extreme shortage of goods necessary for instruction. It is hoped that through these activities, a contribution can be made to enhancing the quality of swimming instruction for the students who will take on swimming instruction in Zambia in the future.

I am working to promote the spread of swimming in Zambia and to train educators with the aim of teaching instructional methods, but the shortage of materials necessary for teaching was severe. I hope to provide high-quality instruction and contribute to the development of a swimming culture in Zambia.
