This was the third “running clinic” we held for many amputees to experience the joy of running.
The clinic was held at Urayasu campus of Meikai University over the period of 3 days starting 27 Oct.
2017. As was the case for the last clinic, we had two Paralympic medalist, Heinrich Popow and Atsushi Yamamoto. They taught 9 above-knee amputees and 1 below-knee.

With unfortunate Typhoon weather, we could not go outside to the running truck ground, but the clinic conducted inside the gymnasium went on with full of enthusiasm from everybody participated.
Participants age ranged from teen to 50s and their sports prosthetic experiences too varied from a total novice to someone who’s participating in races.
While it was a fun event with everyone helping each other out, the training was very professional with the golden pair of medalists Popow and Yamamoto enthusiastically coaching all the participants.

・I hardly had chance of playing basketball or soccer before, so that was refreshing and fun.
・The video clinic was very effective since I could visually check precisely what I was not doing right.
・The coaches were very kind and passionate teaching us armatures while them being medalists. I am very grateful and was very moved by it.
