At the Kaohsiung Fubon Marathon 2023 in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, we hosted a booth and ran a cross-country skiing trial session. After the event, the equipment we brought was donated locally for use in future events and activities.

【Project Background】

Because the Kaohsiung Fubon Marathon and the Sapporo Marathon have a friendship agreement, this initiative was carried out as part of broader efforts to promote mutual exchange.

【Outcomes】

The booth welcomed more than 500 visitors. Many learned about cross-country skiing, and some tried it by putting on skis at the experience corner.

We received many comments from visitors saying it was their first time and they found it enjoyable.

【Challenges and Lessons Learned】

Because the marathon started early in the morning, there were fewer visitors during the first half. In addition, runners were more exhausted than expected after finishing, so while we gathered survey responses, the number of people who wanted to try the experience was lower than anticipated.
