【Outcomes】

From among the International Cheerleading Federation (ICF) members, 75 teams and 798 athletes from 5 countries and 1 region participated. Japanese national teams won in divisions such as the Elementary School Lower Grades, Junior, Senior Women’s, and Senior Co-ed divisions in the Freestyle Cheerleading competition, showcasing the high level of Japanese cheerleading techniques to the world.

【Voices from Participants and Partners】

Chinese Taipei Athlete: “We participated with two teams and seven athletes from Chinese Taipei. Winning in the Doubles competition and achieving second place in the Small Groups Co-ed competition was a great achievement and made us very happy. On the other hand, the performances of the Japanese teams, which won in many other divisions, were truly wonderful and inspiring. We want to use these as reference to improve our skills when we return home.”

【Challenges and Lessons Learned】

Due to circumstances such as insufficient practice after the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, some countries decided not to participate, and some could not participate due to domestic circumstances. As a result, fewer countries participated than initially expected, with 5 countries and 1 region ultimately joining.
