【Project Activities】

Invited a junior high school baseball team from Taoyuan City, Taiwan, to conduct a baseball exchange program (baseball clinic and friendly matches) with a selected junior high school team from Narita City.

【Project Background】

This project was implemented to commemorate Narita City’s 70th anniversary on March 31, 2024, as an exchange program with its friendship city, Taoyuan City, Taiwan.

【Project Objective】

The purpose of this project was to improve the competitive skills of both teams, promote cross-cultural understanding, and deepen international exchange through baseball.

Athlete Dispatch and Invitation

【Outcomes】

In addition to friendly matches, this project included a baseball clinic led by former professional baseball players, making it a very valuable opportunity to not only improve competitive skills but also deepen international exchange through baseball.

Participating junior high school students commented that they enjoyed interacting through baseball.

【Challenges and Lessons Learned】

This was a one-time event as part of the city’s 70th-anniversary celebration. However, if similar projects are implemented in the future, we would like to utilize the lessons learned from this project.
