【Project Activities】

Dispatch of personnel to acquire international qualifications that allow them to conduct referee and coach training courses and issue certifications within Japan.

【Project Background】

While developing qualified referees and coaches is an urgent task, inviting senior qualified personnel from FISO every time presents cost and time constraints. Therefore, we requested cooperation from POSF and dispatched an instructor.

【Project Objective】

To acquire Level 2 qualifications, which authorize the holder to certify Level 1 referees and coaches within Japan.

【Project Area】

Sports Instructor Training

【Methods】

Dispatch and Invitation of Coaches/Instructors

【Outcomes】

The dispatched instructor participated as a referee in an international competition held in Pasig City, Philippines, and was awarded Level 2 qualification.

【Voices from Participants and Partners】

We received warm words of gratitude for participating as a referee from Japan, and offers of full cooperation for the development of Obstacle Sports in Japan.

【Challenges and Lessons Learned】

It was strongly felt that fostering English-speaking referees is essential for hosting large international competitions in Japan.
