【Project Activities】

Based on the “Healthy Hospital” concept of utilizing hospitals as social resources for the local community to improve the health of the entire region through Community Learning Centres (CLC), this project aims to enhance residents’ well-being, including health promotion. As part of this effort, table volleyball was introduced as a tool to promote health and mutual understanding among residents.

【Project Background】

Following the positive reception of table volleyball during a nationwide CLC workshop in Kenya in May 2023, we conducted activities in 2024 to further spread its popularity by providing four additional sets of equipment.

Under the “Healthy Hospital” concept of making the entire community healthy and prosperous, the project aims to improve well-being, including health promotion. One of the objectives is to enhance health and mutual understanding through sports, using the inclusive sport of table volleyball as a primary tool.

【Outcomes】

Since the introduction of table volleyball in 2023, its use has spread across CLCs (with 10 sets donated over two years). Some CLCs have even begun conducting activities using self-made equipment.
