【Project Activities】

In February 2023, coaching seminars on the Barça Foundation’s “SportNet Methodology” were held at three locations in Japan. With the cooperation of the Japan Inclusive Football Federation, the program targeted individuals who regularly interact with children in various capacities, including those involved in inclusive football, parasports, education, and social welfare. The morning sessions featured lectures for learning the fundamental knowledge of the SportNet methodology. In the afternoon, practical sessions were conducted on the playground, where participants experienced actual SportNet programs firsthand and created their own sessions.

1.To increase the number of individuals who can learn diverse values through sports and adapt to society.
2.To develop an inclusive sports environment by improving the teaching skills of coaches.

【Outcomes】

Individuals working with children acquired the fundamental knowledge of the SportNet methodology and gained practical insights for on-site implementation.

It is a program rarely found in Japan, and I am highly satisfied to have been able to take this course.(Participant)

As a project primarily led by an overseas organization with a design reliant on sponsorships, it became evident that continuing the program would be difficult if the overseas host organization or sponsors were to withdraw.
