“Customisation and development of Japanese sports content and programmes” was set as one of the programmes of the Japan Sports Council, and content and programmes relating to sports science, physical education, and other topics that Japan has for overseas universities, physical education teachers, and students who want to be teachers are introduced and provided.

In response to a request from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, instructors were dispatched for re-learning training for currently-working teachers held by the university in order to present information on Japanese physical education programmes. This is the third time that instructors have been dispatched for such training.
Continuing from last year, Associate Professor Isamu Mitabe of the University of Tsukuba, who has advanced knowledge in the area of physical education, gave lectures and held workshops.
