Hello Kitty Run Indonesia ~ Sweets Wonderland ~, a marathon event utilizing the Sanrio character Hello Kitty, was held at a huge shopping mall in Tangerang near Jakarta, Indonesia on September 10, 2017.

Participants received T-shirts, bags, and medals designed exclusively for this event, and all participants wore their matching Hello Kitty T-shirts and ran the marathon. The 5-kilometer course was also decorated with Hello Kitty decorations. It drew participants into the world of characters while creating a space where they could run whilst having fun.

In the after-run area after the event, we set up a game booth and a shooting spot using Hello Kitty; making it an event that can be enjoyed with family and friends even after the marathon.
Through a fun run utilizing Japanese character design, we were able to have people of all ages, from Indonesian adults to children, familiar with sports.
