Sport Science and Management Training in Cooperation with Kasetsart University in Thailand
From April 20 to 26, nine students and staff members from Kasetsart University in Thailand visited Japan to undergo training in sport management and sport science. The programme was managed by Juntendo University’s Faculty of Health and Sports Science.
The training programme included sport management lectures, practical training sessions on exercise physiology, athletic trainer skills, rehabilitation, sport biomechanics, visits to the National Training Centre (NTC) and the Japan Institute of Sports Sciences (JISS) and participating in the legacy project of the Japan Anti-Doping Agency (JADA). They also enjoyed watching a professional baseball game.
Feedback from Participant :
Participating in the programme at Juntendo University was a valuable experience for second year students of Kasetsart University. The programme was the curriculum they would learn in their third year. The experience provided them an important opportunity to think about their future paths. The students also actively interacted with Japanese students and built good relationships. The exchange programme is of significance. We would like to continue exchange programmes that are not limited to students alone. The programme conducted at JADA is easy to implement and excellent. We would like to introduce a similar programme in Thailand.
