The 7th International Youth Exchange Dispatch Program, NPO Shinmachi Sports Club & Nuremberg, Germany Sports Jugend
The youth group of Shinmachi visited Nuremberg, Germany, and experienced playing sports in Germany. The groups experienced German life culture by interacting with host families.
– Since they stayed with the host families for the entire schedule, they were able to directly experience the sports culture in Germany at home, which gave young people an image of the future sports culture in Japan.
– The thousand paper cranes that were created this year by the youth of both countries will be presented to the recipients of the “Nuremberg City Peace and Human Rights Award”, and the participants of the award ceremony are given to peace and human rights advocates. Youths from both countries were able to exchange views on peace and human rights in Germany, which has been shaken by immigration issues.

Feedback from Participant :
The youths of both countries and their host families had a good understanding of peace, not just sports.
