The organizers invited local elementary school students to hold an event “GiFT DAY” on the premises of the National Olympic Stadium to spread the value of sports in Cambodia. Along with Mr. Vath Chamroeun, Managing Director of the Olympic Committee, who wants to spread the value of sports to Cambodia ahead of the SEA game in 2023, a mixed team of Japanese and Cambodians had a deep dialogue together by holding “GiFT DAY”.

This project aimed to contribute to the promotion of sports in Cambodia by allowing participating students to acquire the “diversity adaptability” necessary for the global society through co-creation experiences.
Participants were also invited from the Royal University of Phnom Penh and the National Academy of Physical Education and Sports, and a mixed team of Japanese and Cambodians held discussions to organize an event to spread the value of sports in Cambodia. In addition to Cambodia, the intention is to hold similar projects (themes differ in each country) in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Laos this spring.

Comments from Mr. Vath Chamroeun, Managing Director, National Olympic Committee of Cambodia:
This program does not end with this, I hope that the organizers will continue to actively participate in activities to spread the value of sports. We would like the Cambodian participants who participated this time to cooperate in the Cambodian National Athletic Meet and SEA games, but we are also actively recruiting foreign volunteers. Therefore, I would like all the participants to come back to Cambodia and cooperate with us. We share a common philosophy with Diversity Voyage, so we would like to continue to cooperate in the future.
