SANIX Flag Fukuoka International Junior High School Judo Tournament 2016 (14th Men’s, 5th Women’s)
SANIX holds various international sports competitions based on the basic principles of healthy development of young people through sports, dissemination of information and improvement of competitiveness, and international cross-cultural exchange. This judo tournament has been held 14 times, with 16 teams from 8 countries and regions overseas and 121 teams from Japan participating. There was also the first participation from a team from the United Arab Emirates.
In addition to holding competitions, various exchange events were held. The overseas team held a two-day training camp, took lessons from Japanese leaders and medalists, held exchange meetings between participating team players, and the overseas teams conducted sightseeing including Dazaifu. Since the tournament venue and accommodation facilities are located in the same facility, athletes were able to meet each other and understand each other’s culture by sharing their experiences.
See below for the Japanese version.

Comments from the coach of Esink Sports Centrum (Netherlands):
It was a training camp and competition that I had never experienced before. This tournament, in which judokas from all over the world participated and improved each other's skills, was an unforgettable experience for both individuals and players. I hope this tournament will continue for many years to come.
