【Cambodia】Diversity Voyage in Phnom Penh
Inviting local elementary school students to hold “GiFT DAY” at the Olympic Stadium to spread the value of sports in Cambodia. Along with the desire of the managing director of the Olympic Committee, Mr. Vath Chamroeunn to “spread the value of sports in Cambodia” ahead of his SEA game in 2023, a mixed team of Japanese and Cambodians held a deep dialogue together.
This project was created for participating students to gain the ability to adapt to the diversity needed in the global society through co-creation experiences and to contribute to the promotion of sports in Cambodia.
Participants were also invited from the University of Phnom Penh, and a mixed team of Japanese and Cambodians held discussions together and organized an event to spread the value of sports in Cambodia.
In addition to Cambodia, similar projects (themes differ in each country) were held in the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, and Indonesia this summer. “GiFT DAY”.

It was a great opportunity not only for Cambodian elementary school students and teachers but also for Cambodian youth who thought about the value of sports. Let's hold the next "GiFT DAY" next spring.
